there are many ways to reveal what is hidden...
Wryms riddle, snakes lie, birds sing--and I?
I watch and listen while, by-the-by,
Time takes each fact and turns to fiction;
Quests end in questions and answer none.
...here... and in the world our bodies inhabit

some forms of seeing are more rewarding than others
Freedom and Truth have at once been wed
To Love as civilized heresies.
The three are a threat to Comfort's bed,
Where's whor'd Safety for her fallacies.

...but all sensory modalities have pros and cons
the Day Star's Children see more clearly by sunlight
Do you know who you can't live without?
What, more than love, is worth any price?
Do you blend or stand out in a crowd?
Will this day be your next sacrifice?

the Children of Luna see much farther by night

drawing on all the senses sacrifices acute perception

Lonely is he who has lost his home
(for that harbor where his heart has moor'd).
But free is he who the World has known
(who rests his hopes upon any shore).
focusing a single sense loses the spectrum of awareness
other worlds exist all around us... just out of sight
The Wind--that weaver of wanderlust--
Whispers warnings to all who have ears.
The Rain--that singer of sorrow's cup--
Offers mourning for all who have tears.

...you can almost hear them... smell them, touch them
a human's internal senses betray a vast latent potential
The rook council leaves South to convene
On what fate form'd of feather foretells:
'Dam dada keh jambala mit cain,
ikh cagen sheh-naga umsekh els.'

the external senses of our fellow animals dwarfs our own
I have spent a decade in the study of the One, the None and the Infinite. To me, this study is an intoxicant and a drive that cannot be sated. It is the one true path. Careers come and go, passions flare and turn to smoke... even relationships fade across lifetimes. But the path of the mystic is as eternal as the Trinity itself.
I came first to know the Infinite. It is the one who killed me and broke the being of the "self" my life once consisted of. The Infinite led me to the None, then together they brought me to the One. In my studies, I have come to know the One intimately. I know well the paradox-balance provided to all reality by its very existence. The None and the Infinite, however, still elude me.
The Twins (as I've come to know them) have taught me so much. I overflow with gratitude for all they have added to my being. Yet, time and again, the two change forms and turn months of lessons into flotsam. In a way, I mind not the challenge. Mistakes are gifts from the Universe to anyone who seeks Truth with a burning desire in their core. I have been away from the Twins for more than a year now.
tran.: all that is, has been and ever will be
is the unfolding of an infinite nothingness
Light, surrounded by soft-darkness on the left and hard-darkness on the right. Yet it contains them. Every point within the Infinite is the center. "I", being the current observer, am the center. Yet "I" orbit "You" as you read this. You are the center of all that is as you read this... and there's no escape. Welcome.
The Eye of the Infinite is Void --
the emptiness upon which all this rests
and is set in orbit about.
I (to I) "is"; all else "is not". This study is a drug to me. My greatest sadness is in how easily this drug overtakes all that I do. In order to escape it, the only action I can take is to ignore it and tie it off to a deadline. Without that knowledge of an exact time when I will return to it, the study begins to seep back in, then pours... then floods. I am going to tie it back off now. It will be almost a year before I return.
Infinite Nothingness,
Forever and Ever without End.
Amen.
